This week we got back from our Christmas
holidays and returned back to the stressful work load of Games Art. On Monday
we were asked by Chris to do quick sketches of city environments with people
and without. He showed us an example of the artist called Sylvain Despretz,
Chris went over the fact that this artist was required to draw quickly and
that’s what he wants us to do.
So the plan is to go into Leicester and
draw some people and buildings with Indian ink and see how it turns out! We are
required to do 12 final pieces and 12 smaller quick sketches for each one of
those finals making it 144 drawings all together L
that number scares me but I’m sure I’ll be fine with it.
On Tuesday we were presented with a new 3D project! Which is
to create a transit van in 3Ds Max. I’m not too sure if I am looking forward to
this as I know that making vehicles are allot more difficult and different to
make than buildings. I’m going to do my best to keep up with this project so
there is no chance of having to resubmit. I’ll probably try to get more than
one transit van done so I could learn 3D a bit more.
Life drawing was nice today as it was just to get us back
into the mind frame of drawing, so I didn’t feel pressured to try out a new
style of drawing even though I do sometimes enjoy it J
